Fingerprinting Done Again!
So, we found out that the first time around my prints were "unclassifiable". I know, I know. Insert your criminal background joke here. I got a letter on 3/14 to go back in on 4/5. I was impatient and went in on the 31st. (Ok, so I went in on the 24th and had a little run around with the supervisor.) She was kind enough to let me come in a few days later. I called my friendly FBI (they really are friendly) information line and they said that my prints were PROCESSED NORMALLY --- YIPPPEEEE!!!! That means that we are now officially just waiting for our I171H (official US approval to adopt). I am praying that we will still be DTC (dossier to China) in April. Our first set of documents have gone to the sec of state to get the great seal and are currently in Chicago at the Chinese Consulate. I know that I may as well be speaking Chinese to most of you, but we are literally one paper away from having our paper work on it's way to China!!! Referrals are currently not moving very quickly (12 months). Please pray that we won't have to wait that long to meet our sweet little girl. Thanks for checking in on us!
