Home study

Well, we have had 2 home study visits so far. Dan and I met with our social worker together and then today we had our individual meetings at her office. The next one is scheduled for 1/31 and will be at the house. Audrey will interview the kids then too. It has been pretty painless so far. The worst part is the drive there, wondering what she will ask, and more importantly how we will answer. During the first visit she asked how often Dan and I fight. Dan very quickly jumps in and says "Regularly". Hmmm, what do you think she wrote down about that?? Today I was asking her if I needed to have the vaccination records for Rugs (our dog). She replied "Well, in China they eat dogs, they don't really understand why we collect them. So, I won't say anything about dog in your home study, it just perplexes them." I felt pretty silly at that point! Our friends who are adopting from Guatemala got their referral yesterday. It is pretty exciting. We can't wait for that stage!!!

If I was Chinese, I am sure I would serve burnt dog soup!
