Here she is.....

We have been matched with a sweet little lady. She was born on September 27, 2005. We have turned in our "letter of intent" (LOI) which is a statement saying that we will care for her and how we plan to nurture her.

We are still working on a name, but Sophie or Sophia is the top choice right now. Seth is really pushing for a name that starts with an S. Her middle name will be Mei which means beautiful.

We will hopefully get an update from our agency at some point soon. Our last info was from when she was only 5 months old. She was 10 months this week. We do know that she is in foster care not an orphanage.

We are so excited and can't wait to go get our sweet baby girl!!!

Things you can be praying with us:

• That she remains healthy and well cared for.
• That the Lord prepares all of us for each other. She will no doubt be attached to her foster family and it could be a difficult process for her to attach to us.
• That we would be able to travel as soon as possible to go get her - that our paperwork will be processed quickly and correctly.

The process is now that we wait for pre-approval (PA) - this is China saying that we are approved to adopt her. Then we wait for travel approval (TA). After we receive TA, we will travel in 3-4 weeks.

The process from LOI to TA is currently taking about 2.5 months. This would put us in China in November. We would love to have our sweet girl home as soon as possible, but for sure by Christmas would be incredible.
