Chinese language lessons

We signed up for Chinese language, customs and culture lessons this week. The character to the left is Mei - Sophie's middle name. It means "beautiful". We will start on September 8th and go every Friday evening. There are 5 lessons. I am excited to be able to communicate (somewhat) with the people of China. We are concerned about appearing to be arrogant Americans. We feel like it will also be really helpful to Sophie if we know some of the language that she has heard for the first year of her life. So, the Neal's are "speaking Chinese". Makenzie and Seth will be attending classes too. Mom and Dad Deslippe aren't sure if they will attend yet. Dad planned a trip to Italy for Mom's retirement and birthday before we knew any time lines for Sophie's arrival. So, they will be in Italy for 2 of the classes. They are quite the world travelers.
